There is a long file called "Installer Log File" that the Finale 2006
left behind where you said. I'm going through it now to see if there
are any possible conflicts.

I take my word "most unlikely" back now.
Two people is enough to prove something is wrong in this magnitude. So,
FinMac2006 installer seems to be overwriting some data under both ~/
Library/Application\ Support and ~/Library/Preferences.
Did FinMac2006 installer left a log at /Library/Receipts/ ? Previous
installers never did, even though VISEX supports it if MM wanted to.
