I described yesterday how I happened to install 2006 to Tiger w/out

things the bug effected, besides ical and Address Book, which I've
now gotten squared away.

As far as I'm aware, the bug removed *everything* from your
~/Library/Application Support folder. (As has perviously been
remarked, "~" refers to your Home folder.) As long as you restore all
of that info from a backup, you should be fine.

Right -- since you *did* run the pre-install on your old computer, the Application Support folder should still be there on your old iMac. So I'd just copy the contents of that folder (minus the MakeMusic folder, and minus the Address Book folder if you've made any changes to the Address Book on your new computer since restoring from the backup you made) to your new computer. (You can use the FireWire target mode trick to do that -- hook up the two computers using that FireWire cable you bought, and restart the old one while holding down the "T" key. The old computer's HD will then show up on your new computer's desktop.
