Yes, I have macros that do this, (grace a Karen) and they are working
correctly.
Did you try double-clicking on the Tuplet tool to see if it brings
up Document Options -> Tuplets?

the problem. For instance - select the tool from the pallet with
the mouse, click on entry - nothing with those two tools. Other
similar tools work as expected. It's mysterious.
