To Darcy, Karen, and David, Thanks for sticking with this. I shut down the computer, went out in the beautiful 72 degree, non-humid, sunshine that it typical of the glorious Summers here, shopped, got a haircut, and started it up again, opened the file Darcy had sent back to me (using his clean preferences that he had sent), and things are back to normal. I should learn to control my emotions when this kind of thing happens. In years of using Finale, there has always been a solution, sometimes as mysterious as this.
