Darcy,

I know you are frustrated with my English but I hope you calm down. I
now know more about what is going on with Finale pref (like I have
nothing else better to do tonight!).

Finale 200x Preference file is _EMMPTY_.
It has a resource folk (a separate file outside of Mac OS Finder but
linked to the file).
The resource folk has alias encoded in binary that points to other files
( one of them being com.makemusicFinale.plist in my guess).

Finale 200x Preferences resource folk file is compiled to binary so no
one but Coda can read it using their own tool thus I can only guess.

For one thing, you loose your preferences when you delete FinMac Pref
because it looses the location of actual pref data, but that file
doesn't seems to contain actual data.

It seems that FinMac is storing different preferences all over the
places, not only com.makemusicFinale.plist but also some other files
that Finale 200x Preferences resource folk is pointing too. How many
places? I don't know.

This explains why Chuck still can't get out from his problem by deleting
the pref file. At this point, my recommendation is to fresh install and
just load libraries to customize. This is actually what I do when I
install a new version.
