I recently got from UK a very old print of “Three Dale Dances” by Arthur Wood arr by Sydney Herbert.

Serving in the Royal Corps of Signals Band in the 50’s and 60’s we used to play this on bandstands all round the country.

OK so far- but, the arrangement I received is Boosey & Co No 651 copyright 1924. “Boosey’s Brass Band Journal”

There is no score, simply a Solo Cornet/Conductor part.

It has an Eb Piccolo part (actually a Db Piccolo part) and an Eb Clarinet Part, but all other woodwind simply play “brass band” parts. (Oboe player has a smoko!)

This creates a very thick muddy sound, and of course, does not give any Brass to Woodwind variation.

This is not the version we used in the “old days”.

As it’s now out of print I feel I can reasonably ask if anyone knows of a concert band version I can beg, buy, or otherwise obtain.

Please advise off-list if preferred.
