Yes, I tried both kinds ... the CD-RW first.

Did you make sure the disk itself is a CD-RW disk as opposed to a
regular CD-R disk?

Ok, guys, I'm sorry, but I'm still confused (a congenital
condition, I assure you). Ok, so I'm working on a Fin File, and
after a hard day's work, I wish to back up said file. I insert a
black disc in my new iMac G5, give it a name, and move the file
in question to the disc. I burn it. The next time I try to copy
a file (any file) to same disc, the message instructs that a file
can not be moved to this disc, because the files can not be
modified. I have tried this both with CD-RW and CD R music. I
know you have told me this before, but, as usual, I do not
remember the answer. How do I back up files to a disc and make
said disc function more than once?
In advance, I thank you for once again sharing your wisdom.
