I always put a new accidental after a tied one occurring at the beginning of a measure and don't see a way to avoid this practice and still be unambiguous. I might also put a parenthesized courtesy cancellation, if the accidental doesn't carry over in the latter part of the measure, just to be clear.

I love the idea of "curtsey" accidentals though.
