I don't think Ryan was using Copy and Insert -- otherwise, the time sig changes, etc., would have copied. As we have been saying, in the past several version of Finale, there is no difference between Copy and Insert and clip files.

This was not my experience, though I didn't have a lot of time
signature changes, I did have them. Neither clip files nor
copy/insert missed those, and I was working in WinFin2K3.

The only thing in regard to time signatures that got messed up was
one piece with independent key signatures.
