Here’s another stupid question...
I have spent all night and all day today writing. I know this is horrible, but I hadn’t saved my file yet. I went to print out a draft copy, and Finale (FinMac2006) unexpectedly quit. Is there anyplace this file might be saved as a backup (even in an earlier version)?!
Oh, man.
I feel bad for you, but I'm afraid you're out of luck.
In the future, save as soon as you create a new document, and keep hitting cmd-S as if you had a tic all through the music entry process, right up to the last thing you do before closing the document. Auto-save can help you out if you have bad saving habits (we JUST finished a long discussion about saving and backup tactics here on the list.)
If you are not a veteran of computers yet, this is good advice for ANY program, not just Finale.
Commiseratingly,
Christopher
