Well, I definitely disagree with that. I certainly think, as I just said, that it's a bug (or a poorly designed feature) that changes settings when you upgrade over top of an existing installation, but I would *not* want to use a Finale that lacked the ability to turn off automatic layout update -- I much prefer to do that myself, and it has never been an issue for me in any version of Finale since the very early ones (I started with Finale 2.01 in 1991). -- David W.
