There are drivers installed, but they may not have been installed while the hub was in use, I can't remember. I'll look into that. I did connect my new laser to the USB port in the keyboard, which I had forgotten about, and it seems happy there, so maybe I'm ok ... but I would still like to have the hub functioning if I need to free up another USB port for some reason (digital camera, whatever).

Ok ..well, for some reason, when I try to utilize either printer via the hub, they do not function. When I plug either in directly, they function fine. It is a Belkin powered bus. I think I don't understand.

Are there drivers that need to be installed? Often they need to be reinstalled while the printer is connected to the hub, and don't work through the hub even if you have already installed them to work when the device is plugged directly into the original USB port. I think it's an addressing thing.

At least that's my experience on windows machines. I have no clue if that's the same on Macs, or even if you need to install printer drivers on macs.

But if you do have to install drivers, follow the installation procedure while the printers are plugged into the hub.
