Perhaps it is a bit strong, for which I apologise. There certainly are some attractive alphanumeric fonts that have have something of the character of manuscript, but in my opinion those fonts which actually attempt to mimic handwriting lack charm.

As for music fonts: clarity is of course the first requirement, but being pleasing to the eye is also important. A page of music written by someone with a fine hand is a thing of beauty. Personally I don't find any of the manuscript music fonts achieve this.

I wouldn't for a moment suggest that you are wrong to disagree.
