Well, that's a ridiculous response to Johannes's complaint. He's *not* creating orchestral scores, so the choice to make the setup wizard work really well for the kind of music he doesn't create is wrong for him (and, I'd suggest, for most Finale users). I completely agree with Johannes that the setup wizard ought not be hijacked by the limitations of GPO. It ought to work with GPO but still provide full flexibility. And it ought to be localized to the languages, by default, seems to me. Perhaps editing the text file that John Bell cited will do the job for Johannes, but that doesn't change that fact that the default setup is ass-backwards, with the GPO tail wagging the Finale dog, i.e., with playback (which is always an add-on in a music notation program) limiting the notational choices. -- David W.
