What ridiculous expectations! Three months ago they might not yet have done enough "proof of concept" work to know that they would be able to make the deadline of their next product release. If they had announced and then missed it, either by being later or by shipping without it, they would have been universally pilloried. It's completely unreasonable to expect a small software firm like MakeMusic to be able to turn on a dime on a project of this magnitude. It's good that they are going to make it for the next release cycle, but it's completely unreasonable for end users to expect that to have been a given, something that they should have announced months ago. It's just an absolutely unreasonable expectation. -- David W.
