Or impatient one. I can't imagine expecting Finale to be Universal Binary

don't see any music program yet (other than Garageband) that is Universal
Binary.......I'd imagine Logic is going to Universal around the time Final Cut
Pro does...............

That wasn't the point, though. There was a lack of commitment, noone expected them to go Universal Binary when the first IntelMac came out. The statement from MakeMusic (not the one from yesterday, but the one made to the list and the forums several months ago) was completely uncommital. Anyone can say "we are looking into the possiblity", it's a long way from there to "we are doing it".

I must admit that the latest statement actually surprised me positivly, I was definitely not expecting Universal Binary for 2k7, after the experience with the OS X version. Which took at least one year too long.

There is, naturally, one other aspect of all this, which is, by definition, not MakeMusic's fault: We will have to say good-bye to any Finale version before 2k4 on the Mac for good. It looks unlikely that we will be able to run any non-OSX version on any Intel Mac. I don't have that much of a problem with this, but I do know that some people keep all their old versions around to be able to easily print and revise earlier Finale documents. It's time to get them all updated.
