Well, NBA made other mistakes. For instance they priviliged autograph scores over autograph parts, which is very problematic in many cases. A good example is the B minor mass, where the score really isn't a reliable source, while the parts are much more important. Fortunately the B minor mass has also been redone for NBA in the last few years.
