I am not sure why you think that this is only refering to the first
movement, but that may be obvious from the music. From the text I cannot
deduct that. If anything the German is just as ambiguous as the
translation, but I tend to think that your interpretation is a little
far fetched. Especially considering that, had he really wanted to say
that, he would have done so in a more flowery description as would have
been quite normal in that time.
