sorry for leaving the path for a while, what is the difference between "choir" and "chorus"?
Very little difference. Essentially they are two labels for the same thing. However, since the two terms come out of two different traditions, one can glean a slight difference in shade of meaning, though nothing so consistent as to be a reliable rule.
"Choir" is commonly associated with sacred music whereas "chorus" is not. Therefore, a chorus singing in church is almost always called a "choir". Forms and styles of music which are directly or indirectly associated with sacred music tend to have choirs rather than choruses. Music which is directly or indirectly related to theater or opera is more likely have a chorus rather than a choir.
