I'd suggest doing that but creating 3 expressions:
[b]
[#]
[nat]
And then apply those as note expressions, and hide any true accidental you want to place for correct playback. This would be easier I think than trying to place brackets around existing accidentals, although I suppose you could create a single expression of a pair of brackets with a single space between and place them as a unit.
