Not to me -- I've never found Dell's prices to be particularly good. The ads (the Dell generic ads, not any aimed at high-end servers or workstations) sure look good but once you add in the additional ram and HD space and get a decent processor speed, their prices are higher than other PC brands.
So, to reiterate what I said earlier: a fairer comparison would be to find out how much a comparable machine would cost by shopping around and not just going to see what Dell would charge. They've never been good on price beyond bare-bones economy models and even then they aren't the lowest priced.
