When I enter a multiple verse song into Finale I usually enter
    number - period - option-space - first word
for the first word of the verse. That has worked fine until recently when
I've been creating EPS files on my Mac which someone else opens on a PC,
inserts into MS Word and prints. Now those spaces appear as squiggly
characters.

I assume the problem is that Mac and Windows map non-ASCII characters
differently. I would have thought the font mappings would have been
enscapsulated along with the font info in the EPS file, but it seems that's
not the case.

How do you deal with this issue? Any tricks to achieve a simple verse number
that looks like:
    1. Word...
but will behave better when crossing platforms?

Peace,

Greg
