Not from my experiences in this particular case. I was suffering from inaccurate color matching on Windows even using SpiderPro2 to calibrate, and the print shop informed me Mac is the only way for this particular reason. By the way, I too also experienced no 2D improvement when upgrading graphic card on Mac but that is not the same with Windows. Even installing a new graphic card driver sometime makes huge improvement on drawing experiences. P.S. I often experience blank V.I.
