There's a view score/part toggle in the Parts Menu that has a shortcut. Also, cycling thru "Next" or "Previous" Part includes the score view in the lineup.

Applying a staff style to the score applies it (initially) to all parts. However, staff style assignments are permanently unlinked. So after applying one to the score you can remove it in the part without affecting the score. I don't recall now if adding the staff style to a part affects both score & part. I doubt it.
