So I wrote three times already to the French dealer (since the end of June), and he still hasn't given me his price. Nor has he replied to my last email of over a week ago. I wrote to all the other official dealers in the Euro zone, and am surprised by the differences in prices quoted, from 150 euros (Germany) to over 200 (Belgium and Portugal). In the best case, only 50$ more than MM's price in the US (150$). In the worst, almost 120$ more. Of course, not everyone answered. The Spanish are on vacaciones until the end of the month. This doesn't sound like the best international sales policy to me. Shouldn't MM be a bit more picky on their choice of dealers et do away with those that don't even reply to customers? And shouldn't they have some kind of control over the prices if they have "official dealers"? Dennis I think the import limit is just pure chance and luck on the day. I've ordered CDs from Amazon USA value between $50-$100 and been clobbered for the tax. Less than $50 I usually get away with. I even had a Band score & set from Switzerland last month that got held up for a week and then I had to pay more tax, yet orders from Boosey & Hawkes in UK come through fine, no matter what value. This is just all double taxation as far as I can see. I used to use Editnote for finale upgrades but they messed up the auth. code on two upgrades so I gave up. I complained to MM about this. They were always a month or two behind anyway, but they do specialise in the French language version that comes out much later in the year (I just recieved the promo for Fin2006), I use the English version. August was never a good time for any mail order over here ;-)  Bienvenue la rentrée! Jonathan
