Wouldn't it make more sense to use large block noteheads instead of split stems for forearm clusters?

There was a limit up to versions 2006, so you couldn't get a cluster of more than (as I recall) 12 notes. This limited the vertical length, meaning more layers would have to be added. It gets kind of messy. (Why more than
12? Playing with forearms.)
