Dean,
I don't know how this works with the Finale's included GPO samples,
but with the Garritan Big Band files, you simply load in a KS (Key
Switch) trumpet sample on the staff in question and Finale "reads"
the Str. Mute expression and changes the sound. (It also changes
back to normal on seeing "Open") I suspect that, if Finale says you
can do this, you can find a similar sample in their library.
