But, as I said a couple of days ago, much of this has been obviated
by the increasing sophistication of Human Playback, which makes it
unnecessary to manually edit many volume settings, for instance.

that's the ideal, of course -- to have Finale interpret the notation
into correct playback without needing to manually set the MIDI
playback.

I would feel a lot better about HP if I knew exactly what its parameters were
and how I could influence them if I didn't like HP's choices. I can't say that
I've spent hours in a discovery process, since I don't have those hours,
unfortunately, to devote to discovery. I wish HP were better documented, IOW.
My guess (or hope) is that HP will evolve into this type of function--easy user
control over key parameters of "humanizing" the music.
Does anyone knoe for sure, for ex., if HP humanizes note start and stop times?
That's what I like about using Overture--I know exactly what it's doing because
I told it what to do. ;-) It knows the key parameters for expressive playback
and lets me set their values if I wish. Additionally, Overture responds much
more efficiently to VST instruments and effects. It is a full VST host not
tied to any one manufacturer.
