My experience is that the upconvert from Fin97 forwards was quite good: certainly far better than any previous upconverts. They stumbled slightly with Fin03 but regained their balance afterwards. Fin07 appears to be a huge step backwards, and it may support my fear that MM has seriously lost its way in the last year or two. Sibelius partisans should not crow too quickly, though.
