THAT is annoying!
That seems to me to be an annoyance of your email client (Eudora?), rather than of the messages being sent to you. I've always considered Eudora's automatic decoding of attachments to be an invitation to disaster, since in the bad old days, I occasionally had to fix a machine where somebody had gone poking around in the attachments folder and executed some file that turned out to be malicious. I haven't seen that in a long time (most ISPs now scan for email- borne viruses, so there aren't many such these days), but the attachments folder still has to be periodically cleaned up. I would find that annoying, myself. > (Same thing > with the vcard thingies.) There's no justification for Outlook's method of bundling things as attachments that don't need to be attachments. > I suppose that if I understood more about my computer I might be able > to filter them out, but I don't and that's that. Your annoyance is a function of the way your email client handles attachments. I don't have any annoyance from it, as my email client renders the text attachments inline, so I don't even need to know that they are attachments. -- David W.
