Er, is there a version of Score that is newer than 15 years old?

According to what I find on my installation disk, the latest version (4) was released 1999. A number of Score users still sticks to version 3.1 which dates back to 1993. Some like it more than version 4.

a windows version is apparently 95% ready, but has been awaited for around 7 yrs. most users state that the programme is already so complete that an upgrade has not been needed, and for some things that are not addressed fully by the programme itself, there are several developers of corrective programmes.

admittedly this sounds very similar on the surface to anything any user of finale or sibelius would say, but on the whole, score users are **very** happy with the programme itself and with the support, which comes directly from the original developer.

i encourage anyone who takes notation and publishing seriously to at least look into score... which was from the start designed with engraving in mind, rather than popular market trends or superficial and non-**essential** aspects of interface.
