Do you mean rotated text?

While this is hard to do, there is one little tool in Finale that allows this - the custom line tool.

Select the Smart shape tool, go into Smart Shape Menu, select Smart Shape Options.

Select Smart Lines: Custom Line and hit Edit.

In the Smart Line selection box, click Create.

Line Thickness zero, then click Text>Center Full: Edit.

Enter the text you want rotated (like "Chorus")

OK your way back to the score. When you select the Custom line (looks like a question mark) and double click and drag to enter it, you will have freely rotating text! You only have 180 degrees to rotate it in, (actually, only 179) but this is usually sufficient.
