I jumped thru hoops for two years trying to get some Heinrich
microfilms from the Czech National Library. What it boils down to is
this: They have few microfilms. They have few staffers. The staff are
underpaid and the buildings need maintenance. They will gladly *make*
you a microfilm, for a hefty fee, provided you come on appropriately
humble and give indications of a willingness to pay thru the nose. And
even to get that far, it is virtually essential to have a mutual
acquaintance pave the way, or else have someone actually on the ground
in Prague who can inquire in person.
Me, I gave up on the whole rigmarole and found what I wanted already on
microfilm at the U. of IL.
For $0.10 per page, no questions asked.

I'm
interested in are late 18th century manuscripts (Ordenez, Wanhal, et

I've recently heard that the Austrian National Music library has moved
into
new facilities this summer, and they're wonderful!
Thanks! Have a great weekend
