HI all
My 2003a Finale will open & print out tif files that contain fingerings for
clarinet & bassoon.
On a different computer, using original 2003a Finale converted to 2007, and
before that, 2004 Finale, the tif's will not print or show up on the screen.
I swear they look the same on each computer.
Is there any setting involved that I need to do?
I don't think this is a question of settings, but of file availability.
Finale does not embed ~.tif files; it embeds a pointer to the tif. If
you move a notation file containing references to ~.tif files from one
machine to another, or even from one disk to another, you need to move
the tif files so they are in the same relative directory as the finale
file itself. I'm in a bit of a rush at the moment, and don't have time
for a fuller explanation. Consult the user documentation for 2k4 and
2k7, under the topic of embedding graphics for more immediate information.
You can gain a bit more file independence if you redo your ~.tif files
as shapes in the Finale shape designer. These _are_ embedded in the
document.
