[Finale] Video files - VERY off topic

Very off topic:
 
I'm trusting that someone on this list will be able to help me with this  one.
 
I know that normal audio cd's use WAV files.
 
What is the equivalent video file?
 
What format do video files need to be to be read by a normal DVD  player?
