Thanks David. I realized I said P450, while I should had said P-III 450MHz. Is it that slow for DVD movie? My even older iBook G3 600MHz plays DVD movies just fine. I didn't think P-III 450MHz is that slow. Hmm. I have to debate if I should try USB2.0 PCI card. >Question 2 answer: <Snip> >One thing that you might consider is making a >list of all the applications you and your wife will want to do on the >notebook, and then figure out the specs that will be necessary to run >them, and then go shopping based on those specs. She is a church organist/music director so Finale is important (I bought the 2nd license for her so we now have two licenses :-) but the reason why she had to give up Mac was all the investment tools she needs won't run on Mac. These tools are running fine on P-III 450MHz so what I am looking for her is cheaper the better. Cheap, but not a crap, that's the hard question. Also support issue matters. DELL sux. I have called DELL for my tower PC issues twice, and I will never call them again :-( -- - Hiro Hiroaki Honshuku, A-NO-NE Music, Boston, MA <http://a-no-ne.com> <http://anonemusic.com> _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
