For a friend, I need to find (in the next two hours) two pieces of music, one that could be characterised as being "open", the other one as being "closed". Genre doesn't matter. Can anyone help me and her?
The first few replies pinpoint the problem. There are no intrinsic musical meanings for the words "open" and "closed." Define your terms!! Sounds very much like an assignment in a music class, in which case the professor should have defined the terms and there's no way we can guess.
