I can neither deny nor confirm the drinking of interesting Kool-Aid, but I should point out that the context of my misleading statement was in response to Brian Williams and his problems in connecting his OS 9 machine with his OS 10.4.9 one. If you were used to using AppleTalk to share files (and I suspected that was Brian's situation) OS 10.4 makes you do things a little differently, namely, you have to use TCP/IP.

I should also point out that my network at home includes Windows, OS 9, and Tiger-based machines and I can share files in all directions.

At least my alleged Kool-Aid isn't purple,
