This reminds me of one aspiring horn player who looked in the Guiness Book of World Records, saw the reference to Paderewski's $5 million concert, and thought he was headed for such takes himself. Don't know what he's doing now. Guess some learn the hard way.
It's interesting how I have to remind many people wise in the ways of the world (including a couple of major arts philanthropists who should know better) that if they try to understand my musical activities in terms of money and economics that it never will make sense.
