They recognize the problem, but since it's not one that causes files to become unusable and because fixing it would be a major project (that would likely introduce new bugs that might very well be damaging), they are leaving it alone for now. To me, the only thing that would have improved it would be if they had said that they have a rewrite of the graphics subsystem scheduled for one of the next 3 Finale releases. But I've been in *exactly* their position, where a client has a problem that I can't solve without a huge amount of work. In that case, I give the client the choice: spend huge amount of $$$$$ to fix it and most likely introduce new bugs in the process, or leave it alone for now.
