Actually, what would be the best of all, and would allow all of us to have exactly what we want would be for the good and kind and capable and gentle folks at MakeMusic to simply include an extra option in Program Options, called "Edit Instrument.txt" and another one called "Edit Ensembles.txt" which would in an organized, columnar table allow us to change, add, delete, and otherwise edit those two files, without having to get into a text editor and muck around with it the way we do now.
The logic flaws already pointed out in the existing entries in those files, to say nothing about the U.S.-centric terminology or about the omissions, are merely another reason why I never use the Setup Wizard. But if I could easily change things to match what I work with mostly, and make it easy to add new entries, all from within Finale, I might actually begin using that thing.
