Since the Sib website demands that anyone applying for the $99 upgrade mail in the first two pages of their Finale manual (photocopies not accepted), and since many people only have the OLD, David Bailey suggested that I write to Sibelius and ask what else would be acceptable to them.
I did so and received the answer I've pasted in below, although it took them about a week to respond. I suppose this poor guy may now be flooded with requests directed to him, but that's Sibelius's problem, not ours.
