Although Coda/MakeMusic never officially monitored this list, they had, in the past, been lurking here. I remember several people, including their head developer, making comments here now and then. I do realize there is the Forum. And I am sure MM does give helpful answers there. However, this forum has actually been a huge marketing platform for Coda in the past. There is simply no reason why they shouldn't be here.
I have completely lost faith in MakeMusic to even try to make Finale a better experience for us. Over the last few years all they have done has been catching up on Sibelius, and marketing Finale as the better Sibelius (look at their stupid comparison of scanning abilities on their website - has anyone actually ever used music recognition through Finale seriously?). There has been no innovation for a long time.
Part of my bitterness about being thrown out of the beta program is because I really tried to make Finale a better product. I gave them lots of my settings (they actually nicked some of them even before I got signed on - from a former webpage of mine, including my piano brace), and I fought hard to make beta testers have more influence on the development - at least in terms of being involved in the design, and not only the bug finding. I never succeeded, it has been a complete disaster from the start.
I should point out that the beta testers, many of which are present on this list, have always done a really fantastic job. The bugginess of Finale is not their fault.
