I am a only-Sibelius user, but I like to read this list, because it keeps me informed, and the level of the notesetting-related themes is much more interesting than in the other sibelius lists (for several reasons, which I won't explain now).

I would second David's point - if you're discussing Finale, you must discuss sibelius, specially now, where both programs are competing on a feature-to-feature basis. (you could also discuss other music notation softwares, but they're not really interesting enough for that). Or do you also try to stop people or segregate them when someone asks for a model of a binder, in which paper thickness should orchestral parts be made, or which pdf or font editing programm should be bought?

And you guys have been taking lots of abuse from makemusic from a long time, maybe seeing the word "sibelius" on the themes of several posts might wake them up a bit (if there's hope for it).

It might be a better idea to have a switchers or dual users list, one
where people who are familiar with both and use both can discuss and
what not

I want the discussion to continue here, on the Finale list, because
the topic *is* Finale, or how Finale can continue to exist in the
face of competition that is executing better than MakeMusic has
recently.
