I'm trying to create a sine wave marking. I have a character in the
GraceNotes font that will do it. If I create an articulation that
repeats horizontally, it works fine, but these kinds of articulations
require alot of manual intervention. If the spacing differs in score and
part, you have to manually adjust it. If there are line breaks, you have
to manually create line breaks, etc.
I tried using the Custom Line tool instead, but I hit a snag. It seems
the Custom Line tool does not place the characters precisely one after
another. Instead it adjusts them so as to make the endpoints come out
exactly right. I suppose this works for trill marks, but it is death to
a sine wave curve. Does anyone know of any other options?
