Two things. IAC bus is a system bus, meaning an open pipe is laying there, which could cause a MIDI loop if you are not careful. DP's Interapplication MIDI is a virtual MIDI port, which makes DP as if an external MIDI module to Finale. DP's Interapplication MIDI is also much more expandable than IAC bus. You can create numbers of ports, while IAC bus is 1-to-1 bus. DP's Interapplication MIDI works well.
