I assume that you mean holding down the first finger to fret the
string, and touching it with the 4th finger (5th finger to pianists!)
at the nodal point a 5th above. Yes, it's a stretch, but quite
playable. Someone with a small hand would probably move the hand
partly up the fingerboard with the 1st finger stretched back, very
similar to a cellist's extended position to cover a major 3rd.
