Perhaps eventually they'll just limit it to 4 notes, because publishers
fed up with composers using all these many notes in their compositions.
I am sure you can see the benefits in the long term. Music with four
notes is just so much easier to learn.

Well, in worked so well for Tom Johnson in his The Four Note Opera, that
his later opera, the Riemann-Oper get along, for the most part, with only
two pitch classes. (And by raw number of productions and performances, the
Riemann-Oper is probably the most successful German-language opera of the
last generation. It's certainly the funniest.)
