I just got a 28" monitor from Best Buys for $550ish. I am on the road today so I can't tell you the brand and model. The resolution is the same as the 25" monitors (1920 x 1200) which makes the feature sizes larger and easier to read. I love this thing. The only issue is that the screen occasionally goes blank for a second or two. I don't know why that is happening. It might be something in my video card. If you are doing this, give serious consideration to a dual-monitor setup. When using Finale, it seems like one always has other windows up besides the main score (instrument list, media player, whatever). A second monitor is great for parking all those miscellaneous windows so they don't get in the way of the score.

Friends...
One non-crappy outcome of the flood at my house is that I get to upgrade some
of the equipment that got washed away.

I want to replace one CRT I had with a 21-22" or bigger LCD monitor with pivot
capability so I can see a full orchestra or band page--in portrait orientation--at a
decent size and use my existing monitor to view K2 or other stuff.

What should I look for? Avoid at all cost? My only criteria are 21-22" or
bigger and pivot capability. I don't need other fancy addons. Thanx in advance for
any advice.

Jim
