Yes we have encountered something that might be related to this problem.
Graphics that are created with Finale and saved as EPS (with or without the
Maestro font included in the file) appear wrongly when opened in Adobe
Illustrator and sometimes also in In Design. Changing to Petrucci or Engraver
seems to solve the problem. We suspect that the problem might be related to non
American versions of Windows. No one on this list (mostly Americans) was able
to reproduce the problem. Removing all other fonts from the system didn't work.
We think that there is something confusing character mapping of the font set,
but we havn't been able to fix it. As far as we can tell, the character mapping
in Maestro is not the same as in other fonts. I see you are using Mac OS, so
obviously not a Windows problem in your case, but perhpas Adobe has some
strange way of mapping characters that other software doesn't.

This brings me to another question. Does anyone know of an alternative to
Illustrator for opening and editing EPS-files generated by Finale?
